How to Play Klondike Solitaire

Solitaire is the most played card game in the world. The goal is to move all 52 cards to the four foundation piles, building up by suit from Ace to King.

Rules

• Tableau: 7 columns. Build downward in alternating colors (red/black). You can move a card or a sequence of cards.
• Foundations: 4 piles at top-right. Build up from Ace to King by suit. This is how you win.
• Stock: Click the stock pile to draw cards. In Draw 1 mode, you get one card at a time. In Draw 3, you get three.
• Empty columns can only be filled with a King (or a sequence starting with a King).

Tips

• Always move cards to foundations when possible — but be careful, you can't take them back.
• Try to reveal face-down cards in the tableau early. That opens up more moves.
• Use the undo button freely — it helps you explore different lines.
